The nominated products for tonight´s Detektor International Awards prize ceremony has been announced!


The impressive artwork from the world famous glass designer Bertil Vallien will be received by the manufacturer of the best security products 2005.

AR Media International and its publication Detektor International has today announced the shortlist of companies, that have been chosen as potential nominations for this years prestigious 2005 Detektor International Awards.  Sponsored by the Stockholm Fairs and the Group4Securicor company Falck Alarm, this product innovation awards scheme has been running now for 6 years and has become a regular autumn event in the annual security calendar.  The final awards will be presented during the Sectech Show in Stockholm tonight at a grand gala dinner at the Arean reastarant of the impressive Globe Sort Arena. 

The product lines have been divided into the three categories of Alarm Products, CCTV Products and Access Control Products, in order to be assessed by our panel of industry judges.

The nominations for the Alarm Product Award are:
- Bosch Security Systems (Germany) for the Easy Series of control panels
- DTec Detector Technologies (UK) for the FireVu VSD IP video smoke detection over IP
- Rokonet (Israel) for the WatchOUT series of outdoor PIR and Microwave detection device
- GE Security (USA) for the Video IQ Lite on premise video alarm verification solution

The nominations for the CCTV Product Award are:
- Samsung Techwin (South Korea)  SHC730 for the Wide Dynamic Range Day/Night Camera
- Axis Communications (Sweden) for the 225 FD fixed dome camera network
- CoVi (USA) for the EVQ1000 Multiview High Definition analogue camera
- Spectrum (USA) for the SentryScope dynamic high resolution wide field camera

The nominations for the Access Control Product Award are:
- Boon Edam (Netherlands) for the Swinglane barrier access control system
- Syagen (USA) for the Guardian explosives trace detection portal
- HID (USA) for the R90 iCLASS 13.56 MHz Self-contained long range contactless smart card reader
- Suprema (South Korea) for the BioEntry series of advanced biometric access control readers
  
The Sectech show will take place at the Stockholm Globen hotel on the 25th and 26th of October, and the prizes will be awarded to the winners on the evening of the 25th in the prestige restaurant at the same venue. The awards are individually designed and sculpted works of art by World famous artist Bertil Vallien, thereby reflecting the prestige of the event and the importance of innovation within our industry.
   Ice hockey is one of the major national sports in Sweden and the Globen hotel plays host to one of the most well known arenas in the country.  As the awards ceremony is such a special gala event the dinner guests will also be able to enjoy spectacular views of an exciting hockey match in the arena below the restaurant to round off the evening.
  Organiser of the Detektor International Awards is the international security magazine for the European market, Detektor International. The ceremony will be hosted by Lennart Alexandrie, the Managing Director of the publishing company, Ar Media International.
